Matrix Ring Installation
Test Before Unpacking and Installing
Your light was tested prior to shipping. Please re-test before ceiling installation using the provided testing cable. If you experience any issues, stop installation immediately and contact our support team at 305.897.2209 before proceeding.
Pre-Installation Setup & Testing
1. Connect the Power Cables
- Connect all power cables to the rings.
- For square white connectors: ensure the flat side of each connector is aligned. If rotated 180°, the lights will not operate.
- For round connectors: alignment is not an issue.

Ceiling Installation Guidance
Plate Orientation
- If using a round ceiling plate: confirm orientation before installation. A 90° misalignment will change ring direction.
- Decide fixture layout:
- One side with Large + Small ring
- Opposite side with Medium ring - Note the direction of the power cables on the ceiling plate.
IMPORTANT: The box includes a ceiling template for marking positions of ring hangers. After installing ceiling bracket but prior to installing the ceiling plate - use template to mark locations for support cables. This does take a little patience. Blue paint tape is often recommended to hold the template in place so you can make the marks accurately.
Option A

Option B

⚠️ Power cables will hang through the middle of other rings.
Cable & Drop Length Adjustments
- Adjust major drop lengths before lifting the ceiling plate into place.
- Fine adjustments can be made after installation but are easier beforehand.
Managing Support Cables
- Extra support cable can be:
- Cut to length, or
- Hidden by drilling a small hole into ceiling space and pushing excess inside (often the safest option).
- A small amount of silicone may be used to conceal entry points.
- If unsure, leave extra cable tucked until final position is approved.
Managing Power Cables
- In many cases, extra cable fits inside the ceiling plate.
- If too long, open a ceiling space to tuck cables above.
- This depends on drop length and ceiling type – adjust accordingly.
✅ Final Check: Before completing installation, verify drop lengths, ring balance, and orientation match your desired final look.
